Nursery care is available from 9:15 AM until the end of the Service every Sunday and during special holiday Services. PRE-SCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY GRADES: 10:15 AM Children's Chapel (for Grades 2 and up) Our chapel time includes reading, prayer, singing, and discussion. 10:30 AM Godly Play (for Pre-school, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 ages). This curriculum is based on the Montessori method of education, with hands-on learning and a respect for children’s own expression of their religious understanding. Firelight (for grades 2-5) This year we are focusing on figures from the bible, including Moses, Mary, St John and Jesus. During Lent, we will learn about the Eucharist, and in the Easter Season we will learn about the followers of Jesus. Our learning includes songs, reading, acting, and art work. 11:00 AM (approx. time) All pre-school, elementary grade children and middle schoolers join their families in the worship service in progress in the church.
Junior
Choir: Junior Choir meets a few Sundays each month at 9:30 AM in the Choir Room. If your children would like to join
this wonderful group of characters, please contact the Interim Choir Director. Generally the
age group is 6 – 11 years of age.
A central ministry for Middle and High School
students is Acolyting. Please contact
Scott Aquilina if you are interested.
GRACE CHURCH YOUTH
The Youth Program consists of 2-3 meetings a
month, from 10.15-11am., including outreach activities, such as going to Common
Cathedral, and classes, often to discuss the previous event.
Grace Church Youth belong
to the Charles River Youth
Collaborative. This joint venture with other youth groups in the Episcopal
parishes of Newton and other nearby towns meets about meet together 5 times per
year. Confirmation and Inquirer's Classes Held annually to coincide with the Bishop's visitation. For those who have never been confirmed as well as those who would like to reaffirm their faith. Please contact the Interim Education Coordinator if you are interested.
