Grace Church Families,

It is with excitement and sadness that I write this announcement to you this morning. I have been offered a Clergy position in Upstate, New York next year and therefore, will not be returning to Grace as Director of Christian Education next fall. In the United Methodist Church, when a candidate for ministry completes half of their seminary education credits, they become eligible to serve as a pastor in a church within their home district on an emergency basis. While I will not know the exact congregation that I will be serving in, I will be sure to remain in contact with Grace Church once my placement has been made.

In terms of my tenure at Grace, I will be remaining here until the end of the Church School year through June 8th.

I also would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone in the Grace Church parish. Over the past eight months, I have felt welcomed and loved by the Grace community. In many ways, Grace has become a second home to me and I am very thankful for everyone in the congregation for making me feel welcome. The entire Christian Education Committee has been wonderfully supportive over my time at Grace and I am incredibly grateful for their help, insights and motivation to move the Christian Education program forward. The future of Christian Education at Grace looks very bright with these individuals at the helm of the program.

I look forward to working with you all over the next month as we close out this academic year. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
