Interested in Confirmation?

Regina and Jared are beginning to plan Grace's Confirmation program for next fall. Please be in touch with Jared (jaredwb@bu.edu) if someone in your family is interested in participating in the Confirmation preparation classes for youth, or in being confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church as an adult. Confirmation is a mature affirmation of the vows we made in baptism, or which were made on our behalf if we were baptized as infants. Reception is for those who have been baptized and confirmed in another Christian tradition who wish to be formally received and recognized as a member of the Episcopal Church. Both Confirmation and Reception involve the laying on of hands by one of our bishops. It is perfectly acceptable for youth to participate in the Confirmation preparation program, but eventually to choose not to be confirmed. Confirmation preparation is a time to explore a wide variety of questions relating to faith, the Bible, the church, and what it means to live as a follower of Jesus today.
