Memories of Baptism, the Last Supper, and we are one

The Church School had a lovely time on Sunday celebrating the baptism of our friend Brynleigh! In Children's Chapel we all signed a card for her and shared memories of our baptism (if we could remember them, that is!). In Godly Play, we had four kids and one teacher helper, Mariana. We went through the lesson, "Jesus and the Twelve," in which we used the da Vinci painting of the last supper to talk about each apostle and his own story. We placed the shields with symbols above their heads after sharing the stories. We only made it through 5 of the twelve because we got to go watch Brynleigh be baptized! Next week we will continue the lesson and make our own shields that represent our own stories. The Middle School Class was small, so we joined in with Firelight. We learned that although we are many, we are one in the Body of Christ. We shared our different gifts and abilities, and how we can work together to achieve new goals. Next week we will continue the lesson by making mosaic crosses to represent the coming together of our many skills and abilities!

Best,

Jared Wyma-Bradley
