Sunday was the first rehearsal for Junior Choir, and we had a great turnout! At least 11 students were present, preparing for their Nov. 2 performance. Then, in Children's Chapel, we discussed the importance of water in our daily lives and in our liturgy. This theme is in line with next week's after-church activity, the River Walk, which is hosted by the Social Action Committee. After Chapel, Lisa T. led our one-room church school in a lesson on the call of Samuel. We compared Samuel's call with Simba's call in The Lion King, and talked about the different ways we can "hear God's call."
Don't forget, the church school will be having an All Hallow's Eve event on Oct. 26 at 5:00 PM. Also, a special thanks to Peter M. and Susan K. for helping supervise the Junior Choir rehearsal.
