Dear Friends,

In Children's Chapel this week we practiced a new form of prayer called Breath Prayer. We will try to learn new forms of prayer each month! The Godly Play class learned about the Exile and Return. They learned how the people of God found God's presence not only in the temple in Jerusalem, but also with them in a foreign land. The Elementary class learned about the close friendship between David and Jonathan. The children heard the story of how Jonathan used arrows as a warning to protect David from King Saul, and the friends made a promise to be friends forever and to take care of each other. As an activity, the children made bows and arrows out of popsicle sticks and Q-tips, and they shared stories about what makes their best friends special. In the Middle School class we carved pumpkins with holy symbols on them in preparation for the All Hallow's Eve party! The party was a great success, with games, crafts, prayer, and much laughter.

Best,
Jared Wyma-Bradley
