Pentecost lessons

Dear Friends,

Last Sunday started with a short lesson in Children's Chapel on Pentecost. We talked about the imagery of fire and wind, read the story of Pentecost as told in the Book of Acts, and we said a prayer in gratitude for the sending of the Holy Spirit. We then gathered together for an activity. We reflected on Paul's words in Romans 12:5, "So we, who are many, are one body in Christ." We talked about our differences and how we can work together as "one body" in spite of those things. To reflect our united nature and our differences, we decorated crosses in a mosaic fashion.

This Sunday, May 31, and the Sunday after, June 7, the Church School will be pulling weeds and planting flowers! Please come to church early, around 10 AM, so the kids can start playing in the dirt. Wear old clothes and bring any gardening supplies.

Best,
Jared Wyma-Bradley
