"Pray without Ceasing"

Dear Friends,

Sunday's lesson was, "Pray without Ceasing" in the  101 Ways to Pray unit. Because we combined classes, we had a strong group of 10 with 4 adults for our discussion of our communication with God.  We talked about ways we pray (alone, with others, silently, using Bible or prayer beads as guides); when we pray (before bed, meals, in church); and what we pray (thanksgiving, requests, asking for forgiveness, adoring God).  We created prayer cards with images & words reflecting ways to remember forms of prayer: (A) adoration; (C) confession; (T) thanksgiving; (S) supplication, in our own words.  We ended the morning with a silent walking prayer time in the garden, focusing in on God’s creation through various senses, and closing with spontaneous prayers.

Best,

Jared Wyma-Bradley
