Dear Members of the Parish,
This past Sunday, we celebrated the end of another Grace-filled program year together as a faith community. I am so grateful to our Staff: Susan Clancy, Doug Lloyd, Ed Pease and Linda Clark, who give so generously and cheerfully of their time and talent for the greater good of all of us. They are an amazing team who care so deeply for everyone member and every aspect of our common life.
I am also grateful to so many of you who have given many, many hours volunteering in all of the ministries of Grace -- without your help, we would not be the welcoming, vital parish that we are!
Now that we are entering the summer, Church does not stop! The Staff will be here (except for Susan, who will be enjoying her family over the summer) attending to the life of the parish -- making plans for the fall, and keeping the parish connected while we slow down the pace of meetings and activities.
There are many opportunities for service this summer at Grace. Please take a moment to look at the Sunday schedule on page 3 of the Bulletin and see where there is a need for a volunteer. Be brave and try something out, whether it is reading a lesson, preparing breakfast with a friend or helping out with one of our barbecues. If you are in town, we hope you will join us on Sundays and be a part of our worship life.
If you are traveling this summer, may God go with you and keep you safe. I pray that your time away will be one of refreshment, relaxation and renewal. Let's hold each other in prayer wherever we are whatever we do.
Blessings and Peace,
Miriam
