Please join the Pastoral Care group on Sunday, April 24th, for lunch after church in the Large Hall. This will be a time for discussion of the needs and offerings of pastoral care and the opportunities to participate. Pastoral care is the way we care for each other as we face challenges as well as celebrate joys in our lives—the pastoral care network includes everyone!
Typical activities include providing meals for people who are dealing with disruption in their lives, giving rides to medical appointments, and visiting and calling those who cannot get to church. We send cards for birthdays and general cheer and host receptions after funeral and memorial services at Grace. We also offer general support as Grace members face health and other challenges.
We would like to encourage broader participation in pastoral care activities! We’d like to know how you would like to participate in our pastoral care network, and there will be an opportunity at the lunch on the 24th to sign up for the area(s) in which you can help. A sign-up sheet is on the Grace Events Bulletin Board outside the Small Hall.
For those who would like to participate but are unable to come to lunch, please speak with Regina Walton, Carolyn Sprich or Ellen Sheehy. Also, if you are in need of pastoral care yourself or are aware of someone, please let us know!
